Being a district court judge is about serving our community and our county – not about collecting another pension.
David Klein has been practicing law for 24 years, with 22 of those years being here in Nueces County. The focus of his practice has always been trying cases in state and federal courts across Texas.
David is originally from Central Texas and worked his way through business school and law school at the University of Texas in Austin. After graduating law school, he moved to Houston and began working in construction litigation. He moved to Corpus Christi in 2000 and went to work for a local civil litigation firm.
In 2006, David started his own practice and began focusing on family law, personal injury and criminal defense. At present, David's practice consists primarily of criminal defense work in state and federal court.
Through the course of these years, David has practiced each area that comes in front of a District Court and has tried each type of those cases.
David was raised in a working class family and was taught the value of service to the community from an early age. He is an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow, a honor fraternity in Scouting. He has served as the past president of the Corpus Christi Bar Association, Criminal Section and on the Board of Directors of the Corpus Christi Bar Association. He is currently the president of Trinity Our Savior Lutheran Church and also serves on the Board of Elders. He is also a member of the Bucaraders, a local service organization that puts on the Buc Days Parade each year. David has also recently been named as one of the top 10 lawyers in general practice by the Bend magazine.
